Hair removal & permanent hair reduction procedures emit a light beam through the hair, into the hair follicle. The light energy turns into heat energy coagulating the melanin in the follicle. As a result, the follicle cannot grow new hair and remains smooth.
The average rate of hair growth is about 0.35 mm a day, which does vary depending on body area, age and gender.
